Our Selection Process

All applications are made via UCAS and our selection process starts with reviewing your application form. In this form you will have demonstrated that you meet the academic requirements laid down by the DfE and evidence of why you have decided to pursue a career in teaching.

Please consider carefully your choice of referees as we will contact them in support of your application.

Candidates that best fit our requirements will be invited to undertake a face to face interview where possible. Interviews will take place at a school with Forge-TSA representatives and will be a rigorous process to allow the Headteachers on the panel to assess your suitability for becoming an Associate Teacher in one of our schools.

Interview Process no longer includes:  A Written task and a Numeracy task

  • A Teaching activity with a group of learners

  • Evidence of written skills

Following this successful candidates will be made an offer to join our programme via UCAS.

(N.B. Any offer of a place on our programme is conditional on a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service as well as satisfactory references.)
